The Minister of Health, Dr. Nizar Yazji, commenting on the circulation of the port of Tartous after the suspicion that one of the Russian side was infected with the Corona virus, clarified that the issue is not like this, but that when examining one of the elements of the Russian side in the port, it gave a positive result and its accuracy rate reaches 70%.
In a statement to SANA, Minister Yazji added that, due to the Ministry of Health’s concern for workers ’health and public health for the people, the workers were prevented from leaving the port until the examinations of all those in contact with the suspected case were conducted.
The Minister indicated that the port is operating normally and a second PCR test of the suspected case will be conducted tomorrow to confirm or deny that it has contracted the virus.
