The National Agency officially denies publishing news about the death of the Lebanese president

The official Lebanese National News Agency denied that it had published news about the death of President Michel Aoun, after this news spread last night on an application such as the wildfire.

Groups reported on the application “WhatsApp” after midnight yesterday, a rumor about the death of the President of the Lebanese Republic, Michel Aoun (85 years), and attributed him to the “National Agency for Information” within a scenario imagined and unfounded.

The official agency said in its response today: “The agency categorically denies that it has published something of this nature, and confirms that it has absolutely nothing to do with what was attributed to it as a fabricated narrative aimed at causing confusion.”
