Al-Tamimi calls for the occupation to be held accountable for its crimes against Palestinian children

Member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Ahmad Al-Tamimi called on the UN Security Council and the relevant international institutions to hold the Israeli occupation accountable for its crimes against Palestinian children.

Wafa news agency quoted Al-Tamimi as saying in a statement today that the United Nations declared the fourth of June of each year as the International Day for Innocent Children Victims of Aggression, in a General Assembly resolution issued on August 29, 1982, during its seventh emergency special session on Palestine.

Al-Tamimi pointed out that the occupation killed 66 children during its aggression last month on the besieged Gaza Strip and exterminated entire families, stressing that there is no justification for the international community’s silence on the occupation’s violations of all international laws and agreements, including agreements on the rights and protection of the child.

Al-Tamimi condemned the failure of states, international organizations and institutions to implement international law, agreements and covenants that the occupation in occupied Palestine violates on a daily basis, especially against children in their lives, food, water and education, calling for ensuring international protection for the Palestinian people.
