The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela condemned the recent US attacks on Syria, describing it as a return to the endless war.
The ministry said, in a statement: “Venezuela strongly condemns the US military attack on Syrian soil, and expresses its strong solidarity with the people and government of this sister country.”
The ministry added, in its statement posted on “Twitter”: “It is a matter of sadness and regret for Washington’s return to an endless war and its withdrawal from diplomacy and international law.”
Earlier, the Pentagon announced that the recent raids on the Syrian region of Albu Kamal were carried out “based on intelligence information provided by the Iraqi side, against armed groups supported by Iran in eastern Syria, in response to the recent attacks against US personnel in Iraq.”
