Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh attacked US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, saying he was afflicted with an “intellectual obsession with Iran.”
In his tweet on Twitter, Khatib Zadeh wrote: “The master who declared that he had lied, deceived and looted (referring to Pompeo), and whose term was about to end, was once again hit by an intellectual obsession with Iran.
He added, “The reality that exists is that the American administrations have always been planning to carry out coups and wage wars against the Iranian people and their neighbors … They have killed countless people and made the most affected groups in America a human shield for them.”
He continued, “This is the true nature of the administration to which he belongs.”
And Pompeo, in response to a question at a seminar, said that he “lied and deceived” while he was in the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
