The Brazilian Ministry of Health has announced that the number of deaths from the country’s new corona virus has exceeded the number of Britain, and it ranked second after the United States.
Reuters quoted the ministry as saying that the total number of infected with Covid 19 reached 828,810 confirmed cases after recording 25,982 new cases during the past 24 hours.
The ministry added that it had documented the deaths of 909 people within one day, raising the number of victims to 41,828, indicating that 365063 people had recovered from the injury.
More than 1.5 million cases of corona virus infection were recorded in Latin America, which was at risk of a food crisis at a time when markets receded again amid investor fears of a second wave in America.
More than 73,000 deaths have occurred in Latin America and the Caribbean, which has become the new epicenter of the epidemic, more than half of them in Brazil.
Brazil, the largest country in Latin America, with 212 million people, has crossed the threshold of 40,000 deaths and 800,000 confirmed cases, and despite the rapid spread of the epidemic, commercial centers have reopened in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
