The Syrian Ministry of Finance imposed a precautionary seizure on the movable and immovable property of the Syrian businessman, Rami Makhlouf, his wife and children.
According to the decision signed by the Deputy Minister of Finance with the authorization, the reservation decision number 1236 comes as a guarantee for the payment of the sums resulting from it in favor of the Telecommunications and Post Regulatory Authority.
The authority had asked my cell phone company in Syria for 233.8 billion pounds, and while MTN agreed to pay, Syriatel, belonging to the Makhlouf family, refused.
