Trump anti-corona team: the virus could kill 200,000 Americans, affect millions

Anthony Fawcci, a member of the White House team to preserve the Corona virus, expected the epidemic to kill between 100,000 and 200,000 US citizens, and injure millions in a country with a rapid spread of the disease.

In an interview with CNN, Fauci, the president of the American National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said that it is extremely difficult in the current circumstances to predict how conditions will develop against the backdrop of the Corona outbreak, but stressed that the virus will affect “millions.”

He also expected that several American cities will soon face a shortage of artificial respirators, and that the need for these devices will emerge in New Orleans, the largest city in Louisiana, within a week.

Fauchi ruled out a scenario likely to kill the virus a million or more Americans, saying that was “highly unlikely.”

The United States has recorded more than 125,000 cases of the virus so far, and the number of deceased has exceeded 2,000.
