The American “CBS” television network announced the death of its correspondent, Maria Mercader (54 years old), from the new Corona virus.
The network confirmed the death of Mercader in a New York hospital after she took a sick vacation at the end of February.
And American media said that Mercader had undergone earlier treatment and several surgeries after her cancer, which made her more vulnerable to complications from infection with the Corona virus.
The late journalist has been covering many events inside and outside the United States for more than three decades, earning her the position of talent management officer for the popular TV network.
