The Syrian government allocates billions of pounds to rebuild Aleppo

the Syrian government announced that it has approved dozens of different projects aimed at rehabilitating the governorate of Aleppo, the country’s economic capital.

The government has allocated more than 100 billion Syrian pounds to repair separate facilities in the city, which were severely damaged during the war in Syria.

The government has devoted reform projects to the electricity sector, the agricultural sector, the health sector, and the education sector, with the aim of reviving the heavily damaged city, as about 200 schools, 19 medical centers, a number of silos, mills, and complexes were destroyed, in addition to oncology, ophthalmic and children’s hospitals.

The government also reported that the electrical transmission stations and high tension lines in the city are destroyed and in need of repair. Therefore, the government has allocated large sums in order to rehabilitate them, in order to secure electrical nutrition for the industrial areas in the liberated part of the city.

The Syrian Minister of Transport, Ali Hammoud, announced the opening of the highway between Damascus and Aleppo, starting from Saturday, and he indicated that the railway will reach Aleppo during the next few months.
