Russian Foreign Ministry announced that UN Security council resolution No. 2585 on extending the cross-border humanitarian aid operation to Syria includes a number of items that imply principled importance to deal with needs of the Syrians and improve social and economic situation.
“The resolution stresses intent to improve deliveries of the humanitarian aid to different Syrian regions from Damascus,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement posted on its website on Monday.
It added that the resolution acknowledges “the urgent need to expand the humanitarian activity through carrying out projects of early reconstruction that cover projects of water, electricity, education, health and housing.”
