In the framework of the completion of national reconciliations throughout the homeland, and on initiative of the civil society, a group of people in al-Hameh town, Damascus countryside handed over on Sunday their weapons to the competent authorities, asserting their commitment to the national approach.
SANA’s reporter said that on the initiative of the civil society, dignitaries, and activities of al-Hameh town, some of the people and locals, in cooperation with the competent authorities, handed over their weapons in al-Hameh town.
A number of those who have handed over their weapons pointed out that they will abide by the national approach under the Syrian Arab flag and the wise leadership of the Syrian Arab Republic, voicing respect to the national law and state institutions.
Member of the reconciliation committee in al-Hameh town, Imad al-Nimr pointed out the town has become free of any armed manifestations with the completion of this initiative, wishing that all towns and villages will complete the national reconciliation as it constitutes the right choice for the good of Syria.
