Czech Parliamentary Group for Friendship with Syria condemns Western unilateral coercive measures imposed on Syrian people, calls for lifting them

Czech Parliamentary Group for Friendship with Syria condemned the Western unilateral coercive measures imposed by the EU on the Syrian people and interference in their internal affairs, calling for lifting these measures immediately.

Head of the Group Stanislav Grospic said in a letter to the EU commission stressed that these unilateral measures are shame for all the countries of the EU, asserting that they aim to prevent achieving decisive victory in the war against terrorism and hindering the reconstruction process in Syria.

The group reiterated that these coercive measures are inhuman as they mainly target medicine, medical equipment needed for addressing the coronavirus and they represent a crime against the Syrian people.

The group also called for unconditioned end to these measures as they are considered as a “criminal shameful means against a sovereign state.”
