US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in a statement that the US government should “reassess and reset the relationship with Saudi Arabia,” commenting on the declassified intelligence report on the journalist’s killing in The Washington Post, Jamal Khashoggi.
Pelosi added, in her statement, that House Democrats would introduce legislation to honor his career “with penalties targeting those who commit grave violations against journalists.”
And the Speaker of the US House of Representatives continued: “Saudi Arabia needs to know that the world is watching its disturbing actions and that we will hold it accountable.”
