A huge explosion rocked the center of the Spanish capital, Madrid, while the official authorities have not yet reported any information about it.
Witnesses told the media that a loud explosion was heard, and that a column of smoke rose in the sky of the area after the explosion.
This was announced by the uncle of two people were killed in the explosion, and Madrid Mayor Jose Luis Martinez Almeida said that initial information indicates a possible gas leak.
Almeida told reporters that “two people were killed in an explosion that caused a partial collapse of a building in central Madrid and caused a fire inside.”
Activists on social media in the country posted videos that they said were of the site of the explosion.
