Head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization: Tehran will not accept any precondition for lifting sanctions

Ali Akbar Salehi, head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, said on Sunday that Tehran would not accept any precondition for lifting sanctions.

Salehi added that if Washington wants to return to the nuclear deal, it must return to the previous agreement signed in 2015.

According to the head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization, the wall of confidence between Tehran and Washington is collapsed and should be rebuilt anew.

Salehi stressed that his country would return to implementing all its nuclear obligations if Washington lifted all sanctions.

The Iranian official indicated that if Washington was satisfied with issuing a statement on the abolition of sanctions, Tehran would be satisfied with a statement on returning from reducing commitments, explaining that in the event that the United States implements practical action on lifting sanctions, we will implement practical action on reducing obligations.

Salehi indicated that Iran will pursue a policy of statement versus the statement, and a practical procedure versus practical action, and commitment against commitment.
