Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issued an Emiri decree to recommend Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as Crown Prince, and the Emiri order will be sent today to the National Assembly, to pledge allegiance to the Crown Prince tomorrow.
And Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, served as deputy chief of the National Guard, and he is the seventh son of Sheikh Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
According to “Al-Qabas” newspaper; Sheikh Meshaal had joined the Ministry of the Interior and rose in positions until he became head of the General Investigation at that time with the rank of colonel from 1967 until 1980, and during his reign it was transformed into the State Security Administration. And the late Emir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad appointed him in 1977 as head of the Diwaniya of Nabat Poets. Sheikh Jaber also issued an Emiri decree appointing him as Deputy Chief of the National Guard with the rank of minister.
