On Monday, the Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held a telephone talks with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov to discuss bilateral ties as well as the latest regional developments, particularly the situation in Libya.
In a statement, the Egyptian foreign ministry said that Shoukry and Lavrov exchanged views on the regional developments in the region, especially with regard to the Libyan crisis.
On his part, Shoukry stressed the importance of reaching a comprehensive and official ceasefire agreement, as well as the need to dismantle the militias and remove all foreign forces deployed in the North African country.
