The exchange rate of the Russian ruble against the dollar and the euro rose today, amid a state of optimism in the Russian market after the announcement of the registration of the first Russian vaccine against Corona in the world, and the Moscow Stock Exchange indicators also rose.
By 12:17 Moscow time, the dollar’s exchange rate had fallen by 68 kopecks (one ruble = 100 kopeks) to 72.81 rubles.
The euro’s exchange rate fell by 49 kopecks to 85.80 rubles, according to data from the Moscow Stock Exchange.
The ruble-denominated stock index rose 1.04% to 2,991.48 points, while the dollar-denominated stock index rose 2.11% to 1294.69 points.
