The Internal Security Forces in Lebanon confirmed the death of one of its members in clashes with opposition protesters in downtown Beirut today, Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese Red Cross reported on its Twitter account that the number of injured people, due to clashes between security forces and protesters in the center of the capital, rose today to 238 people, explaining that 63 wounded were taken to local hospitals and 175 others were treated at the scene.
Large-scale opposition demonstrations, accompanied by riots and violent clashes with security forces, erupted in downtown Beirut against the backdrop of the devastating explosion that rocked the port of the capital last Tuesday.
