Today, Saturday, the Chinese city of Wuhan launched a major campaign to detect the injured, but some of its residents who gathered at the examination centers expressed their concern that the same procedure may expose them to the disease.
“Safety has become one of the main topics of discussion on social media,” in the city of about 11 million people, but many said they supported the voluntary campaign.
Many people applied social divergences as they gathered to take the test, such as standing in a row about a meter apart, and a sign reminded them of this. But many also did not implement it, and in some cases the volunteers did not insist on abiding by it.
The health authorities in Wuhan returned to take measures to contain the virus after confirming the discovery of the first epicenter of new cases of infection since it raised the measures of general isolation on the eighth of last April.
Some experts say that the unprecedented scope of the tests, indicates the level of concern in official circles, but others say that this procedure is very expensive and questioned its effectiveness.
The emergence of new cases, all of which were people who had not previously had symptoms of the disease, prompted the authorities in Wuhan to launch a campaign across the city in search of carriers of the virus without symptoms, with the aim of controlling the level of risk of the virus spreading.
China confirmed that there were 82,941 cases of Covid-19 as of Friday, and 4,633 deaths.
