The Ministry of Health announced that the last six new cases of Corona virus that were registered in Syria were among people coming from abroad, while no local cases were recorded since the beginning of this month.
In a statement to SANA delegate, the deputy director of communicable and chronic diseases at the ministry, Dr. Atef Al-Tawil, explained that recording the last case of HIV infection locally was 15 days ago, which is promising, explaining that the six cases that were recorded recently were among people coming from outside the country as a result of the analysis of the BCR Most of them are asymptomatic and are being followed-up with contacts.
Dr. Al-Tawil stated that during the past two weeks, 13 flights were flown through Syria Airlines from nine countries carrying Syrians stranded abroad with about 2270 passengers on board and they were placed in quarantine centers to monitor their health status for 14 days.
