The death toll in the United States due to the incidence of the emerging corona virus has risen to more than 66,000, after more than 1,400 new deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours, according to Johns Hopkins University.
The news agency AFP quoted the university as saying today that with 1453 new deaths recorded, the total number of deaths due to the virus in the United States rises to 66,224, an increase of 2 percent compared to last Friday’s results.
Federal states are moving ahead with the lifting of quarantine measures, although the number of victims of the virus is still high, and the Food and Drug Agency, the US authority to urgently regulate drug markets, has allowed the use of the experimental drug “Ramsdevir”, which is likely to help cure people with corona, she said.
In a move to revive the economy, more than 35 of the 50 US states began lifting strict isolation measures that they imposed or are about to do.
