7 members of the Iraqi popular crowd were killed while repelling two attacks by the terrorist organization ISIS in the Salahuddin Governorate, in the center of the country.
“The ISIS terrorist organization launched an attack on the crowd of the Tigris Regiment in the area of Machikheefa,” the Iraqi News Agency quoted the commander of Salahuddin Operations, Major General Mohsen Hatim as saying, adding that “the initial result resulted in the death of 6 members of the crowd.”
For his part, MP from Salah al-Din Governorate, Muhammad Karim al-Baldawi said, “Brigade 41 in the Popular Mobilization repelled a terrorist attack on Tal al-Dahab area in the Balad District, south of Salah al-Din Governorate, resulting in the death of one of its members.” He pointed out that the Samarra Operations Command and the Popular Mobilization surrounded the area.
The Iraqi Security Media Cell announced yesterday the killing of an Iraqi officer and the injury of a number of his family members to a terrorist attack in Yathrib district, Salahuddin Governorate.
