US President Donald Trump described the CNN correspondent as a “chatter”, after a verbal argument between them following Trump‘s announcement of the suspension of funding for the World Health Organization.
The argument between Trump and press reporter Brian James Karem occurred on Tuesday at the White House conference.
Karem criticized Trump and accused him of evading his responsibilities towards the Americans, saying: “I have spoken to hundreds of people across the country during the past few weeks, and they assured me that they are still unable to undergo the Corona test and that they still coexist normally without social divergence as followed ”
Trump replied to Karem, for sure, that it was up to the conservatives to carry out tests and commit to social distancing.
After the debate raged between Trump and the reporter, Trump ordered Karim to keep quiet, and told him that if he continued to speak, he would leave the conference, and moved to another journalist to answer his question, describing Karim as a “babbler.”
Trump had issued orders to suspend WHO funding temporarily due to its handling of the Corona virus crisis, and he said during the press conference that “the WHO has failed to fulfill its primary duty and must be held accountable.”
“The organization has strengthened Chinese misinformation about the virus, which has likely led to a wider outbreak,” he added.
