Monitoring stations in Syria recorded a second slight earthquake in the northern city of Latakia.
The National Seismic Monitoring Center stated that the tremor occurred at four in the afternoon and was measuring 2.6 on the Richter scale, at a depth of 30 km in the Mediterranean Sea, about 38 km north of Latakia.
The observatory recorded today a slight earthquake measuring 2.8 degrees on the Richter scale and a depth of 15 km, about four in the morning off the Syrian coast, and 36 km north of the city of Latakia in the Mediterranean.
It is noteworthy that the region has been exposed since the beginning of this month to a number of tremors that ranged between light and medium.
