Independent American Representative, Justin Amash, announced his intention to present his candidacy for the American presidential elections scheduled for next November.
“We are ready for a presidency that will restore respect to our constitution and bring people together again, so let us do it,” Michigan state MP Amash told AFP on Twitter.
Amash has been a Republican in the US Congress for the state of Michigan since 2010, but he left the party last summer following disagreements with President Donald Trump and voted for his removal.
Information indicates that Ammash may have the support of some Republicans who are unhappy with Trump‘s policy, as well as Democrats who are not satisfied with the Biden nomination option.
