Medical sources at Al-Zaiton Specialized Hospital in Al-Amireya announced the discovery of 22 new cases of Corona virus among doctors and medical staff.
The Egyptian newspaper “Al-Shorouk” indicated that after the tests, the positive of the virus was proven in two waves, all of them were doctors, nursing and chemists.
The sources confirmed that the infection was transferred to the hospital after receiving a 72-year-old woman on March 23, and was detained in intensive care after dialysis. After several days, she showed symptoms of the Corona virus, so she was analyzed and showed positive, yet she was kept in hospital until her death on 4 This April.
The sources added that the hospital administration did not inform the doctors and nurses that the deceased was infected with Corona virus, and after that the crew learned after several days that the condition they had dealt with was Corona, after the analysis of a nurse working at the hospital and at the Khankah Psychiatric Hospital that he had the virus appeared, they all called the hospital By analyzing them, two batches of samples were taken, of which 22 were positive, and further analyzes will be taken today, Thursday and Saturday, for a number of other contacts.
The sources confirmed that “the hospital injuries came in the reception, intensive care and medical departments, and the infection control department, although the hospital is operating at full capacity in all departments, and the hospital or reception has not been closed.”
