A Syrian company announces the launch of a medicine for the Corona virus on the market

The Syrian Ibn Hayyan Company announced today, Thursday, the launch of a drug intended to treat patients with the emerging corona virus, which causes the “Covid 19” disease.

Radio “Sham FM” quoted the director of the Syrian “Ibn Hayan” Company for Pharmaceutical Industries, Dr. Rashid Al-Faisal, as announcing the price of the new drug and its availability in the markets.

According to Dr. Al-Faisal, the price of one package (30 tablets) of chloroquine, which is used in the therapeutic protocol for Corona virus that causes the “Covid 19” disease, is 6800 SP for citizens in Syria.

According to the radio, the drug is expected to be available in the market next week through the Syrian Ministry of Health.

And Dr. Al-Faisal stressed that this drug is not preventive, but rather a curative and given exclusively with medical supervision.

And the Syrian government announced, last week, to increase the curfew period on specific days of the week in order to prevent the spread of the Corona virus. The government team on the strategy to tackle the Corona epidemic decided to prohibit the wandering of citizens throughout the Syrian Arab Republic on Fridays and Saturdays of each week from 12:00 noon until 06:00 the next morning from its date until further notice. ”

The decision of the Syrian government came a day after the announcement of the isolation of the city of Minin in Damascus countryside due to fears of the spread of the disease in the town.
