The head of the Russian Reconciliation Center in Syria, Oleg Goravlov, said that Russia cannot guarantee the security of Turkish aviation in Syria after the airspace is closed over Idlib.
“In these circumstances, the Russian military leadership cannot guarantee the safety of Turkish flights in Syria,” Gauravlev told reporters. The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced today the imposition of an air embargo over the northwestern Syrian region that includes Idlib Governorate.
