Buthaina Shaaban: The Russian-Turkish agreement on Idlib, temporary, and for a specific region

The political advisor in the Syrian presidency, Buthaina Shaaban, said that the Turkish-Russian agreement on Idlib is temporary and for a specific region and that the implementation of the Sochi Agreement will be completed.

Shaaban pointed out that this agreement is part of several political, military and diplomatic tracks, noting that the sacrifices of the Syrian army imposed the agreement according to which the (M4) and (M5) roads are opened, while emphasizing the continued fight against terrorist organizations.

Last Thursday, the Russian and Turkish presidents reached a joint document that includes an agreement to a cease-fire and the establishment of a safe passage in Idlib, northwestern Syria.
