The number of Arab countries that have reported cases of the new “Corona” virus has increased to 7, after the Sultanate of Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Iraq announced that they were registered today, Monday.
The Kuwaiti authorities announced that 3 people returning from Iran were infected with the virus, including a Saudi citizen, and Bahrain also announced the registration of the first case of the virus with a citizen coming from Iran as well.
The Iraqi Ministry of Health said today, Monday, that the results of laboratory tests conducted for a student of religious sciences (Iranian nationality), showed that he was infected with the virus.
And the Sultanate of Oman TV reported today, Monday, the first two cases of “Corona” virus infection for two citizens from Iran.
The Lebanese authorities had previously disclosed the registration of one HIV infection for a Lebanese citizen from the Iranian city of Qom, while Egypt confirmed the registration of the first infection with a foreign person who recovered later.
The total number of detected cases in the United Arab Emirates is 13, of which 3 have been cured.
The deadly virus first appeared in a wild animal market in Wuhan, China, in late December, and spread to a number of provinces in China and more than 25 countries around the world.
