The grandson of the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood was interrogated for 3 hours on charges of rape

The grandson of the founder of the “Muslim Brotherhood” Tariq Ramadan, today, Thursday, was interrogated by the Swiss prosecution, on charges of raping a woman using violence.

In Geneva, a Geneva prosecutor heard Tariq Ramadan, charged in France with 4 rapes.

Ramadan, who is subject to judicial supervision preventing him from leaving France, was interrogated for more than 3 hours by a Geneva prosecutor in the presence of a French investigative judge in charge of the investigations.

A Swiss woman has been accused by Ramadan since 2018 of raping and holding her in Geneva in 2008.

One of Ramadan’s lawyers, Pascal Garbarini, said that investigations are continuing with his client, stressing that the next step is likely to confront the prosecutor with the beginning of the next judicial year.

He added, “The hearing during Ramadan went well and there is no accusation, and it is clear that the investigation is continuing.”

Tariq Ramadan was also accused in February 2018 in France of “rape” and “rape of a person in a vulnerable position.” Prosecutors Hinda Ayari and “Crystal” say that they occurred in 2012 in Paris and 2009 in Lyon, respectively.

He was formally charged on February 14, with two additional charges, on suspicion of raping two other women in 2015 and 2016.
