The Trump administration is suing Bolton to prevent his book “Decision Making” from being published in the White House

The administration of US President Donald Trump on Tuesday filed a lawsuit against former National Security Adviser John Bolton to prevent the publication of his book on his work in the White House.

The US Department of Justice filed a civil lawsuit saying that Bolton’s book reveals classified information, which would jeopardize the national security of the United States.

The ministry notes that Bolton‘s publication of his book will signify a breach of the obligations he incurred when assuming the post of US National Security Adviser.

This development comes after Trump said that the publication of this book by his former adviser would be in violation of the law, adding that any conversation that took place between them bears a secret nature.

The controversial book, called “The Room Where It Happened: A White House Memoir”, is due to be published (“The Room Where It Happened: White House Notes”)

Simon and Schuster, the publishing house, said Friday that Bolton provides in his book an informed testimony to Trump’s “inconsistent and floundering decision-making”.

The publishing house said in a press release that Bolton’s book detailed Trump‘s transactions with China, Russia, Ukraine, North Korea, Iran, the United Kingdom, France and Germany, and stated: “This is the book that Donald Trump does not want you to read.”

Trump sacked Bolton in September 2019 after he held this position for nearly 17 months, in sharp disagreements over a wide range of foreign policy challenges, as the former National Security Adviser was seen as a supporter of pursuing more intense positions than several international issues.
