Syrian army units have recovered the villages of Sheikh Dams and Hantoutin, west of the city of Maarat al-Numan in Idlib countryside, according to the official Syrian “SANA” agency, on Sunday evening.
The agency noted that the army units liberated the aforementioned villages southwest and northwest of Maarat al-Numan in the southern Idlib countryside, “after the last terrorist gatherings and fortifications were destroyed and their fallen remnants were chased towards the towns of Kafar sjan and Marzita.”
The agency stated that the military operation on this axis resulted in “the destruction of 3 vehicles of the terrorists and the confiscation of ammunition and ammunition in their possession.”
The Syrian army had extended its control over the strategic city of Maarat al-Numan in Idlib countryside, as part of its forces ’advance in the Idlib area to reduce the escalation, which the army began in response to repeated bombing by armed factions stationed in this area, most of which fall under the banner of the“ Headquarters for the Liberation of Al-Sham ”(“ Jabhat Al-Nusra ”(formerly).
