Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Bassam Sabbagh, affirmed that Syria is committed to the political solution, based on national Syrian-Syrian dialogue, owned and led by Syrians which adheres to Syria’s unity and territorial integrity, a firm principle that can’t be compromised.
Sabbagh, during a session for Security Council on Friday, said that the insistence of some states to not listen to the Syrians’ voice and to not change their wrong policies in Syria and the region has brought nothing but terrorism, chaos, instability and looting the resources.
He added that fulfilling the Presidential election and the mass public participation in it stressed the commitment of Syrians to their country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and independent national choices.
Sabbagh added that western states, some of which are permanent members at the Security Council, seek to dedicate illegitimate and false situation through supporting separatist militias in addition to infiltrating their delegations, like thieves, into the Syrian territories.
