Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Eng. Hussein Makhlouf has discussed with Iraqi Minister of Migration and Displaced, Ivan Jabru, means to strengthen and consolidate bilateral relations, and to facilitate the voluntary return of the Iraqis in Syria and the Syrians in Iraq, and to simplify all procedures related to this issue.
During the meeting, Minister Makhlouf said that Syria is keen on securing all the needs of the Iraqi citizens living in Syria, and to maintain their security and to facilitate their return to Iraq if they want that.
He added that the Syrian state has taken a lot of measures to facilitate the return of the Syrians living in Iraq to their country and to simplify the procedures for their entry without any obstruction and to secure a decent livelihood for them.
For her part, Jabru stressed the need to enhance cooperation between the two ministries, open new horizons for work, and facilitate the voluntary return process for the Iraqis in Syria and for the Syrians in Iraq.
