Jordanian Council for Popular Policies calls on the European Union to stop its interference in Syrian affairs

The Jordanian Council for Popular Policies condemned the anti-Syrian practices of the European Union, calling on the Union to stop its interference in Syria’s internal affairs. The council stressed that the Syrian people alone can decide the future of their country through dialogue.

In a letter addressed to the Ambassador of the European Union in the Jordanian capital, Amman, the Council affirmed that the recent anti-Syrian statements of the European Commissioner for Foreign Political Affairs and Security, Joseph Borrell in the European Parliament, prove the European Union’s partnership with America and other regional countries and terrorist gangs in their terrorist war and economic blockade on Syria.

The Council affirmed that, these reprehensible statements express an ugly European face, as they blatantly interfere in the internal affairs of Syria and impede the settlement of the crisis in it.

The Council pointed out that the terrorist organizations in Syria – a gathering from dozens of countries, including European Union countries, have committed the most heinous crimes against the Syrian people. These terrorist organizations have had the support of the neighboring countries of Syria and under the supervision of the United States and some of the countries of the European Union.

In its message, the Council referred to Syria’s steadfastness in the face of terrorism and all forms of conspiracies. It said that Syria has paid a heavy price to preserve its unity, sovereignty and independence.
