For the 10th day in a row, water hasn’t been pumped to the city center of Hasaka, where Turkish occupation and its terrorist mercenaries steals electricity through network feeding the Alouk water station.
Director General of Hasaka Water Company, Mahmoud Ukla told SANA reporter that water has not been pumped to the city center of Hasaka for more than ten days, for two reasons, the first is that the Darbasiyah power station feeding Alouk station went out of service due to fire erupted in parts of it , noting that after repairing damage caused by the fire four days ago and restoring electricity to the station, the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries have stolen the electricity causing a continuous electrical disconnect of electricity as the station operate at a minimum.
Ukla pointed out that the current quantities feeding the station operate only two water pumps out of 12, which significantly delays pumping water to subscribers in Hasaka and surrounding neighborhoods and western countryside.
The Water company, in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)a and The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) have filled large tankers with drinking water in the streets, as well as some citizens also have carried out initiatives to secure drinking water tanks and distribute them to those who need it until water is pumped from Alouk station.
