The Ethiopian Minister of Water, Irrigation and Energy, Silche Bekele, said that the construction stages of the “Renaissance Dam” are continuing as scheduled, indicating that this step receives great Ethiopian support at home and abroad.
The Ethiopian minister wrote, in a tweet on “Twitter,” Saturday: “A coordination meeting was held for contractors, consultants and the board of directors of the Renaissance Dam at the dam construction site… Progress in building the dam continues as scheduled… and Ethiopian support at home and abroad has reached its climax.”
Egypt adheres to its historical rights in the waters of the Nile River, and international decisions and laws in this regard, and rejects any unilateral measures that Addis Ababa proceeds with, and demands Ethiopia to adhere to the principles of international law.
