US-backed SDF militia continues to cut off electricity to Al-Nashwa Al-Gharbiyyeh neighborhood in Hasakah

The Al-Nashwa Al-Gharbiyyeh neighborhood in Hasakah countryside continues to be without electricity for the 5th consecutive day after the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) separatist militia cut off electric power to the neighborhood, demanding the locals to pay the money this militia had imposed on them to resume power supply.

Local sources in the neighborhood told SANA reporter that the SDF militia has been cutting off the power supplies over the past five days under the pretext that the locals have not paid fees to the so-called “Energy Commission” which is affiliated to this militia. The sources pointed out that some of the locals were obliged to pay part of the money to get electricity, but the militia insisted on depriving them from the electric power until they pay the whole sum of money.

Last month, the SDF militia cut off electricity supplies to Msheirfeh neighborhood in Hasakah for the same reason and it didn’t resume the power supply until the locals paid the money the militia asked for.
