The US military announced today, Sunday, that two strategic bombers, “B-52 Stratofortress” belonging to it, carried out a “multinational air patrol” in the skies over the Middle East.
In a statement, the US Central Command confirmed that this air patrol was carried out with the aim of “to deter aggression and to reassure allies and partners of the US military’s commitment to security in the region.”
The leadership indicated that aircraft belonging to several partner countries, including the Israeli entity, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, accompanied the two bombers during the patrol, in addition to fighters belonging to the US Air Force.
The statement pointed out that this patrol is the fourth deployment of bombers in the Middle East since the beginning of this year.
