The deputy director of the Hmeimim Center for Reconciliation of the Conflicting Parties in Syria affiliated with the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Alexander Karpov, said in a statement: “Information is available about preparing the militants of the HTS terrorist organization (which consists of Al-Nusra Front elements) to provoke in the Idlib region to de-escalate the escalation that includes fabricating Chemical attack. “
Karpov said, “The terrorists are planning to fabricate a chemical attack in a facility in the village of Kabanah, which was established for this purpose, with the participation of residents in the province to present them as victims and injured to accuse the Syrian government forces of using chemical weapons against the civilian population.”
The director of the Hmeimim Center also stated that towns and cities in the Idlib and Aleppo governorates are under the control of the Turkish forces and their allied formations. On Monday, local residents witnessed demonstrations against the recruitment of civilians, the occupation and the return of the olive fields.
