Mikdad asserted Syria’s principled stand by Argentina regarding the issue of the Argentine Malvinas Islands, which is under British occupation, expressing deep appreciation over Argentina’s supportive stances towards Syria with regard to the terrorist war.
He also hailed the standing social ties linking the two friendly peoples, asserting the necessity of enhancing and investing those relations in strengthening the relations in all domains, particularly the political, economic and cultural ones in light of the suffering caused by the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed on the Syrian people by the US and its western tools.
For his part, Ambassador Zavala expressed deep appreciation over the Syrian government’s cooperation and welcome as well as the Syrian people, expressing readiness to promote the bilateral relations and enhance the social, cultural and economic ties between the two friendly peoples in a way that serves in developing the relations between the two countries.
He expressed his country’s high appreciation over Syria’s supporting stances towards it with regard to the British continued occupation of the Argentine Malvinas Islands, voicing his country’s stand by Syria in the face of the terrorist war waged against it and the illegitimate economic measures imposed on Syria out of the framework of the international legitimate institutions.
