Competent authorities found a den containing weapons and communication devices, prepared by Daesh terrorists in a mountainous area on the outskirts of the town of Dweir in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, to be as place from which terrorists launch attacks on people and government facilities.
A field commander told SANA “in cooperation with citizens in the town of Dweir, the authorities discovered a terrorist den containing gas cylinders intended for detonation, ammunition and machine guns of various calibers, in addition to mortars of different sizes, RPG launchers, communication devices, medicines and protective masks.”
The commander added that work is underway to hunt terrorist remnants in the entire region.
Units of the Syrian Arab Army and the competent authorities, in cooperation with the people in Deir Ezzor and its countryside, continue to dismantle mines in areas liberated from terrorism.
