Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for the Russian leader, commented on reports that sanctions were imposed on three TV channels in Ukraine.
“We can only condemn in this case these actions of the Ukrainian authorities,” Peskov said.
According to him, restrictions and even prohibitions on the activities of TV channels are “something that does not meet either international norms and standards, or the general understanding of freedom of the media.”
Earlier, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on his decision to impose sanctions on the TV channels 112 Ukraine, NewsOne and ZIK.
