Today, Saturday, the Iraqi parliamentarian, Faleh Khazali, called on the Iraqi government to recover $ 30 billion, which he said was owed by Turkey “because of its breach of an agreement” signed with Baghdad.
He said in a press statement, “The sums owed by Turkey are estimated at 30 billion dollars, due to its violation of the Iraqi-Turkish oil carrier agreement.”
Khazali warned, “The Iraqi government is not complacent in this file, especially as the country is going through a severe financial crisis.”
The Iraqi MP stressed the need for “not to waste Iraq’s money that is owed by Turkey and to follow up on this file.”
