Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Bashar Al-Jaafari, discussed on Thursday with Director of the Political Department of Palestine Liberation Organization, Ambassador Anwar Abdul-Hadi, latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and the region.
During the meeting, al-Jaafari stressed the importance of strengthening Palestinian national unity through ending the state of division in a way that serves the Palestinian people, adding that targeting Syria was because of its firm and strong stance towards the Palestinian cause.
For his part, Ambassador Abdul Hadi affirmed the Palestinian firm stance that calls for the Israeli withdrawal to the line of June 4th, 1967, and the establishment of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital and guaranteeing the right of the Palestinians to return Home.
The two sides also stressed the need for continued coordination and consultation between the two countries at all levels in the service of the two brotherly peoples.
