The Turkish authorities announced the suspension of ship traffic through the Bosphorus in Istanbul in both directions, due to the thick fog.
In a statement, the Istanbul Ports Presidency of the Turkish Ministry of Transport stated that the dense fog had led to a decline in visibility in the strait to less than half a mile.
She indicated that the suspension of ship traffic began at 22.15 local time.
