Iran to Trump: Do not make the New Year a condolence for the Americans

Hossein Dehghan, the military advisor to the Supreme Leader in Iran, confirmed that “Iranian missiles cover all American military bases in the region.”

Dehghan wrote on Twitter: “We recommend that the man who was expelled from the White House (referring to US President Donald Trump), not to turn the New Year’s Day into a condolence for the Americans.”

He added, “The Americans are on alert for fear of reprisal by Iran, and as a propaganda move, two B-52 bombers flew over the Gulf sky.

For his part, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said earlier that his country and the peoples of the region would take revenge in due time for the killing of the former Quds Force commander, Qassem Soleimani, warning of attempts to “sow division” and “weaken the government” in Iran.

He said, “Saddam Hussein is gone after imposing an eight-year war against Iran, and Trump will leave after imposing a three-year economic war on our country.”

Fox News, citing a senior US military official, reported that an intelligence report indicated Iran’s determination to take revenge on the United States for the killing of the Iranian Quds Force commander, Qassem Soleimani, who was assassinated in Baghdad by a US air strike last year.
